Care and Maintenance
Examine all exposed parts, especially
where there is personal contact with the
patient’s body. Make sure no cracks or
sharp edges have developed that could
cause patient or user injury or have
become unhygienic. Replace where neces-
sary and decontaminate.

Check the opening of the legs. The mecha-
nism must open freely without using
excessive force.

Make sure that the anti-skid material is
well glued to the chassis. Replace if
needed.

Check leg opening mechanism under lift
base. Make sure that mobile parts don’t
have excessive loose and are free of hair
and debris.

Sling and hardware
Check all sling attachments for sign of
wear.
X
Inspect sling material for wear or deterio-
ration.
X
Inspect sling straps for wear.
X
Inspect for any defects or loose threads in
the “stitched areas”.
X
