CUSTOM FRONT PANELS
The D1796FI and D1996FI can only be
installed with a fully-integrated custom
door panel that extends from the toe kick to
the counter top. A one-piece custom door
panel with a curved handle is available for
4-inch toe kick installations (see page 12).
Refer to page 8 for instructions on how to
install the custom panels.
CUTOUT DIMENSIONS
US Metric
Height 32-1/4"–35-1/2" 819–902 mm
Width 23-3/4" 603 mm
Depth 23-7/16" 596 mm
*For fully-integrated installations, the
dishwasher’s total depth with the door open
can vary depending on the height of the toe
kick. The total depth for a 4" toe kick is
48-1/4", a 6" toe kick is 46-1/2". This
depth varies from the standard 46-1/2"
because in a 4" toe kick installation the
door panel is typically extended 1-3/4"
beyond the door (control panel) and this
lengthens the door. See page 9 for details.
NOTE: Maintain a 1/8" (3 mm) minimum
clearance between unit and cabinet.
EASYINSTALL SYSTEM
Every ASKO dishwasher comes with the
unique EasyInstall System that speeds the
installation and reduces problems. This
system has these components which are
approved by regulatory authorities (cUL):
• Over 5' of Pex hose that replaces the
water-inlet copper tubing. It has a 3/8"-
compression fitting that mates with the
shut-off valve.
• Over 6' of drainhose with an adaptable
drain connection. The high loop is built
into this hose on the back of the unit. If
this loop is removed to lengthen the
hose, another high-loop must be built
into the installation somewhere along
the line (typically where the hose passes
through the cabinet).
• A 6' long electrical cord with standard,
3-pronged, 110V plug. This eliminates
the need to wire anything under the unit.
