Life-threatening hazard in the case of incorrect mounting and installation:
The escape door locking system may only be mounted, installed and operated
in the permitted device combinations as indicated in the escape route control
system installation instructions.

Impaired function due to incorrect rebate gap: The rebate gap (“Explanation
of terms”, page36) must be suitably adjusted (“Technical data”, page52).
Working on the door frame: When working near the lock, such as drilling or
milling, the lock must be removed.
Damage caused by opening: The lock must not be opened; otherwise, it will
become damaged and the warranty will become void (“Mounting on the door
frame with screw-on casing”, page46)
Property damage from painting: Do not coat the locking mechanism, striking
plate or counterpart with paint or other substances.
Damage caused by water and moisture: The lock must be protected against
penetrating water. Water impairs the function of the lock.
Comply with EMC Directive: The conductor cross-section must not be enlarged
by installing individual lines in parallel. Always use individual lines with a suffi-
ciently large cross-section to ensure electromagnetic compatibility.
