4. Remove Assembly from the Door
For removal of device on door, refer to the original manufacturer's installation instructions.
5. Removing Old Latch Assembly
Note: Heat gun may be required to remove screws.
5.1 Remove Dog Button using straight jaw vise grips with
non-marring material .
5.2 Remove both Trimplate Screws using

" Allen key.
5.3 Remove Trimplate and set aside.
5.4 Remove Rubber Actuator Stop – now visible after
removing the Trimplate.
5.5 Remove Latch Button Screw using a flat head screw driver.
5.6 Remove Latch Insert Screw using

" Allen key.
5.7 Slide internal assembly out of tube far enough to be
able to remove old Latch Assembly from Linkage Rod End
by turning counter clockwise (May need to use vise grips).
