8. Thunderbolt header
This header is for the add-on Thunderbolt I/O card that supports Intel’s Thunderbolt
Technology, allowing you to connect up to six Thunderbolt-enabled devices and a
DisplayPort-enabled display in a daisy-chain conguration.
9. U.2 connector
This motherboard comes with U.2 connectors which support PCIe 3.0 x4 NVM
Express storage.
• The U.2 module is purchased separately.
• The U.2 connectors are only supported on 48/44-Lane CPUs.
• U.2_3 is only supported on 48-Lane CPUs.
