  There are several reasons why your Atag Refrigerator might be running too much or too long. This is normal if the refrigerator is larger than your previous one, as larger, more efficient units run longer. Hot room or outside weather can also cause it to work longer. If the refrigerator was recently disconnected, it takes a few hours to cool down. The automatic ice maker operation can also cause longer run times. Large amounts of warm food, frequently opened doors, or doors left slightly open will also cause this. Ensure the refrigerator is level, the control isn't set too cold, and the refrigerator or freezer gasket is clean and in good condition. If the gasket is dirty, worn, cracked, or poorly fitted, clean or change it.

Ensure that the floor is even and strong enough to support the refrigerator. Lastly, make sure the refrigerator isn't touching the wall or cabinets; if it is, move it.

  If your Atag Refrigerator ice dispenser isn't working, the ice cubes may be jammed between the ice maker arm and the back of the bin; remove any ice cubes that are causing the jam. Also, check if the ice cubes are frozen together, and use the dispenser more often to prevent this. Only use ice cubes made by the ice maker in the dispenser.

  If the water from your Atag Refrigerator has an odd taste or odor, it may be because the water has been in the tank for too long. To freshen the supply, draw and discard 7 glasses of water, then draw and discard an additional 7 glasses to completely rinse out the tank. Also, ensure the unit is properly connected to the cold water line that supplies water to your kitchen faucet.
