Check initial screen, present temperature, and perform zero adjustment with distilled water.
Apply distilled water, close lid, press ZERO, wait for target temperature, confirm 'ZERO SET END'.
Apply sample, close lid, press START, wait for target temperature, and read the indicated value.
Record the measured value. If printer is connected, it will print automatically.
Wipe the prism surface after each measurement before measuring the next sample.
Wipe sample from prism surface and surrounding area with wet tissue, then dry tissue.
Turn off the refractometer's power switch, followed by the printer's if connected.
Turn on unit, check initial screen/temp, perform zero adjustment with distilled water for daily check.
Inspect monthly using 10.00%, 30.00%, 50.00% sucrose solutions at room temperature.
Measure distilled water at 10-70°C, zero adjust at each temp, and confirm refractive index values.
Perform calibration once a year following the performance test method of operational qualification.
Conduct calibration according to OQ, ensuring difficult conditions are met for accuracy.
Record calibration data, obtain operator/approver signatures; manufacturer calibration is an option.
Wipe prism surface with wet tissue, then dry thoroughly after each measurement.
Wipe the instrument body with dry tissue or cloth if it becomes dirty.
The thermo-sensitive roll paper for the digital printer is a consumable item.
Store at designated location, maintaining relative humidity below 75% for long periods.
Troubleshoot by power cycling, checking initial screen/temp, zero adjustment, and known solution measurement.
Address operational malfunctions by correcting user errors or mechanical issues.
Record revised or changed contents and sign approval column for the standard operation procedure document.
