Directory
To dial, delete or edit a directory entry (name and number), the entry must be
displayed on the screen. Use Review directory entries (page 20) or Search by
name (page 21) to show an entry.
Display dial
To dial a displayed number from the directory, li the handset or press
SPEAKERSPEAKER on the telephone.
Delete a directory entry
To delete the displayed directory entry, press DELETE X. The screen displays
Delete contact?. Press MENU/SELECT or DELETE X to conrm. The screen
show Deleted with a conrmation tone. You cannot retrieve a deleted entry.
Edit a directory entry
When a directory entry displays, press MENU/SELECT. The screen shows
Enter number along with the phone number to be edited. If you only want
to edit the name, skip to Step 3.
To edit the number:
Press the dialing keys to add digits.
Press CALL LOGq or DIRECTORYp to move the cursor to the le or right.
Press DELETE X to erase a digit.
Press REDIAL/PAUSE to add a three-second dialing pause (a P appears).
Press MENU/SELECT to move on to the name. The screen shows
Enter name along with the name to be edited.
To edit the name:
Press the dialing keys to add characters (page 19).
Press CALL LOGq or DIRECTORYp to move the cursor to the le or right.
Press DELETE X to erase a character.
Press MENU/SELECT to save the entry. There is a conrmation tone and the
screen shows Saved.
