Always use a charger specifically rated to charge your batteries. Charging and discharging batteries has the potential
for serious injury to persons and damage to property. Caution: If batteries get hot during charging, discontinue charging
immediately and disconnect battery from charger. Never leave battery unattended while charging. If you are unsure of how
to charge this battery, please contact Atomik™ or seek the advice of your local hobby shop. Never let children charge
batteries without adult supervision.
The Atomik™ C1 34” RTR Electric Boat operates using counter-rotating drives to cancel the torque effect of the props.
Because of this, it is extremely important to make sure that you install the correct prop on the correct shaft always
noting the correct rotational direction. If the wrong prop is installed on the wrong shaft, the prop will be spinning in the
wrong direction to generate forward propulsion. Use the supplied lock nuts to secure them to the propshafts. Use
caution when installing the props as they may have extremely sharp edges.
The drive dogs should each be adjusted to have a 1/8 in. gap.
This free space reduces drag and resistence on the motors. This will result in better performance and less heat
and/or excessive wear on the motors.
Loosen the motor coupler set screws on the flex shafts to set
the drive dog gap on each shaft. Once the desired gap is
adjusted tighten the motor coupler set screws.
** IMPORTANT ** Use medium strength (blue) thread lock on
all set screws after adjustments have been made. Allow proper
setup/dry time before next use.
NOTE: The gap can be easily measured by using a dime / coin
to gauge the distance.
