Discharging Instructions
1. Never discharge a LiPO battery pack at more than the manufacturers recommended discharge rate.
The discharge rate is: Battery pack capacity (mah) ÷ 1000 x Pack C rating:
Example for 15c packs: (3200 mah ÷ 1000) x 15c = 48 Amps
Example for 20c packs: (2100 mah ÷ 1000) x 20c = 42 Amps
2. If the battery swells “balloons” or if the battery exceeds temperature guidelines, follow these safety steps:
a. Immediately remove the battery pack from your model or charger.
b. Place the battery in a non-ammable, well ventilated area.
c. Observe the battery for 30 minutes from a safe distance.
d. After 30 minutes, if the pack appears stable, is not swollen and does not show any signs of
damage, return the battery pack to normal use with caution.
3. If a battery is deformed, swollen or appears damaged, DO NOT CHARGE, DISCHARGE or
USE IN ANY WAY. Please contact Venom Customer Service for further instructions.
4. Do not let exposed battery wires touch each other. This may cause the battery to short and potentially
cause a re.
5. Store your batteries in a cool, dry place between 40-80 Fº / 4-26 Cº. LiPOs should be charged to 50% of
their capacity minimum before being stored.
Battery Installation
Installing the LiPO Battery in your Boat
(Always turn on the transmitter before connecting the
battery to the ESC.)
1. Remove the hatch by turning the hatch pull at the rear.
2. Insert the battery into the left side of the hull. Strap the
pack with the included strap inside the hull.
3. Attach the battery connector to the matching
connector inside the model. Listen for three
continuous beeps. (Signal noise of auto detection of
the ESC.)
4. Replace the hatch. BE SURE THE HATCH IS SECURELY
FASTENED TO THE BOAT!
NOTE: 1. There is a rubber ring placed along the slot of the hull. Always make sure it is secured properly
before re-positioning the hatch.
2. When you are not using the boat, remove the rubber ring from the hull. This will keep the rubber
ring exible and provide eective water-resistance for future use. Always remove the LiPO battery
when not in use!
