2 . Loosen the wheel bolts c:> page 2 5 7 .
3 . Locate the proper mount ing point for the
jack and align the jack below that point

5. Remove t he wheel with the flat tire and
the n inst all the spare tire c:> poge 258 .
6 . Tight en all wheel bo lts light ly.
7 .
Lower the ve hicle with the jack .
8 . Use the wheel bolt wrench and firmly
tighten all whee l bolts in a crisscross pat -
tern

9 . Replace the decorative wheel cover* or
the wheel bolt caps*.

and t he replaced ti re in the luggage com-
partment

.,. As so on as possible, have t he
tightening
torques on a ll wheel bo lts checked wit h a
tor qu e wrench . The correct tightening t or-
que is 90 ft lbs. (120 Nm) .
.,. Have the flat tire replaced as soo n as poss i-
ble .

- If you notice t hat the whee l bolts are
corroded and difficult to t ur n while
changing a t ire, they should be replaced
before you check the tighte ning torqu e .
- Drive at reduc e d s peed unt il you have the
t ig ht en ing torques checked .

The decorative wheel covers must be removed
first to access the wheel bolts .
