Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
The Gross Vehicl e Weig ht Rating (GVWR), a nd the Gross Axl e W eight
Rating (GAWR) for front and rear are listed on a stic ker on the left
doo r jamb .
The Gross Vehic le Weig ht Rat ing in cludes t he weig ht of the bas ic
vehic le plus full fue l tank, oil and coo lant, plus maximum load,
w hi ch in cludes passe nge r we igh t (150 lbs/68 kg p er des ig nated
seat ing position) and luggage weight .
Gross Axle Weight Rating
The Gross Axle Weight Rating is the maximum load that can be
appli ed at each axle of the ve hi cle~ & .
Vehicle capacity weight
The ve hicle capacity weig ht (m ax. load) is listed either on the
driver's side B-pillar or inside the fuel fi ller flap .
Roof weight
The maxim u m perm issib le roo f w eight is 220 lb (100 kg). The roof
we ig ht is made up of the we ig ht of the roof rack system and th e
we ight of t he objec t being tr anspo rted ~ page 104, " Loading the
roo f rac k".
& WARNING
The actual Gross Axle Weight Rating at the front and rear axles
should not exceed the permissible weights , and their combination
must not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
Exceeding permissible weight ratings can result in vehicle
damage , accidents and personal injury.
