6 Windshield wipers
m Windshield wiper defective
There is a malfunction with the windshield
wipers.
Drive to your auth orized Audi dea ler immedi-
ate ly to have the malfunction corrected.
~ / }D/0$ Defective light bulb warning
J:J-If the indicator light tu rns on, a bulb has
failed. The message indicates the location of
the bulb .
Im-if a fog lamp* has failed, the indicat or
light tu rns on to indicat e the location on t he
vehicle.
IJ-if a rear fog lam p has fai led, t he indicator
light tu rns on to indicat e the locat ion on t he
vehicle.
Vehicle lights: malfunction
If the message appea rs, there is a malfunc-
tion in the headlights or light switch .
Drive to your authorized Audi dea ler immedi -
ately to have t he malfunction corrected.
A WARNING
- l ight bulbs are pressurized and could ex-
plode while t hey are being changed caus-
ing ser ious perso nal injury.
- Work wit h due care when handling the
high-voltage section of gas discha rge
(xenon) lights . Failure to do so cou ld re-
sult in death or serious injury.

Have t he bulb replaced or the conne ct ion
repaire d by your authorized Audi Service
department.
~0 Headlight range control
1\1 Headlight range control: defective!
If the symbol illuminates, the headlig ht range
control is no longer work ing properly. Have
the system checked and repaired at your Audi
dealer.
§0 Adaptive Light
Applies to vehicles: with Adaptive light
FJl Audi adaptive light: system fault
If the indicator light turns on and this mes-
sage appears, there is a malfunct ion in the
adaptive light system. The headlights still
funct ion .
Go to an authorized dealersh ip to have the
headlights or the control un it for the Adaptive
Light repa ired.
@:> Light/rain sensor
£1 Automatic headlights / automatic wipers :
system fault
If the indicator light turns on and this mes-
sage appears , the light/ rain senso r is not
funct ioning correctly.
For safety reasons the low beams are t urned
on permanently with the switch in
AUTO.
However, you can continue to turn the lights
on and off using the light switch . You can st ill
control all func tions that are independent of
t he rain se nsor th roug h the windshi eld wipe r
lever .
Contact your aut horized Audi dea ler as soon
as possible to have the problem correct ed .
