Tire tread circumference and vibrat ion character-
istics can change and cause a ti re pressure warn-
ing if :
- the tire pressure in one or more tires is too low.
- the tire has structura l damage .
- the tire was replaced or the tire pressure was
changed and it was not stored ¢

Iffflm appears
after switching the ignition on or wh ile driving
and the IE indicator light in the instrument clus-
ter blinks for approximate ly one minute and then
stays on, there is system malfunction. Try to
store the correct tire pressures¢ page 255 . If
the indicator light does tur n off or t ur ns on again
afte r a short period of ti me, dr ive to your author-
ized Audi dealer or qualified repair facili ty imme-
diate ly to have the malfunction corrected.
&_ WARNING
- If the tire pressure indicator appears in the
display, reduce your speed immed iate ly and
avoid any hard steer ing or braking maneu-
vers. Stop as soon as possible and check the
t ires and their pressure.
- The driver is responsib le for maintaining the
correct tire pressure. You must check the
t ire pressure regu larly.
- Under certa in conditions (such as a sporty
dr iving style, wi nter cond itions or unpaved
roads), the tire pressure monitoring system
indicator may be delayed.
- Do not use run-flat tires on your vehicle. Us-
ing them when not permitted can lead to
vehicle damage or accidents.

- The tire pressure monitoring system can al-
so stop working when there is an ESC mal-
function.
- Using snow chains may result in a system
malf unction.

Storing tire pressures
If the tire pressure changes or a tire is replaced,
it must be confirmed in the Infotainment sys-
tem.
