Second-generation MIB Standard
(Modular Infotainment Platform)
For the first time, the second-generation MIBstandard is installed
on the AudiQ7 (type4M). Processor capacity was doubled com-
pared to the first generation in order to meet the increasing
multimedia systems demands.
The second-generation MIBstandard has the following important
new features compared to the 1st generation:
• New display
• New operating concept
• New operating unit
• Higher screen resolution

• MMI radio
• MMI Radio plus
Directory
If the MIBStandard is equipped with a Bluetooth interface, pro-
files are automatically created for up to five mobile phones. In
each of these profiles up to 2000contacts can be used by the
mobile phone. In addition, 500public contacts can be stored in
information electronics control unit 1J794. Thus, the system has
capacity for a total of 10,500 contacts.
