The AudiQ7 can be equipped with Audiphonebox as an option.
If the optional Audi phone box is not fitted, the existing cradle is
referred to as the infotainment box.
The infotainment box always has an AUX-IN jack and a 5V USB port.
The AUX-IN jack is for analogue audio transmission. The 5V USB
port is for charging mobile phones only.
If the optional Audi phone box is fitted, a coupling aerial is located
below the cradle. If there is a mobile phone in the cradle, the
mobile radio signal received from the exterior aerial is transmitted
contactlessly.
Audi music interface
Depending on what system is installed (MIBStandard or
MIBHigh), the Audimusicinterface can be used to transfer and
output audio and video data.
Audio data can be played back both by MIBStandard and MIBHigh.
Video data playback is only supported by MIB High.
The Audimusicinterface has the following connectivity options:
• 2 USB ports
• Bluetooth audio streaming
• Wi-Fi audio streaming (MIBHigh only)
The two USB ports provide a charging voltage of 5 V and charging
currents of up to 500 mA. If an iPod or iPad is docked at one of the
USB ports, an electrical current of up to 1.6 A is allowed to flow
through this port.
Only video files sourced from a USB mass storage device
(e.g.USBstick) can be output via the USB ports. Smartphones
often do not support the requisite protocol.
The AudiQ7 will fature new connections from week 34/15
onwards. They can only be dierentiated by the borders around the
connections.
