Overview

The ATH-CLR100BT are wireless headphones designed for a comfortable Bluetooth® communication experience, allowing users to enjoy music and receive phone calls wirelessly.

Function Description

These headphones connect to your device via Bluetooth wireless technology, enabling audio playback and hands-free calling. The main unit features a power supply/control button for turning the device ON/OFF, playing/pausing music, and answering phone calls. Volume buttons allow for easy adjustment of the audio level. An indicator lamp provides visual feedback on the operating status and battery level. The device is equipped with a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, charged via a Micro USB Type-B port.

Usage Features

Power ON/OFF: To turn the headphones ON, press and hold the power supply/control button for about 3 seconds. The indicator lamp will light in white and then flash white. To turn OFF, press and hold the same button for about 3 seconds; the lamp will light white and then turn off. A beep will be heard when the product turns on or off.

Pairing: Before first use, the headphones need to be paired with a Bluetooth device. Ensure the Bluetooth device is within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the headphones. With the product turned off, slide the power switch to "ON." The indicator lamp will light and flash white, indicating it's searching for devices. On your Bluetooth device, search for "ATH-CLR100BT" and select it to pair. A confirmation tone will sound when pairing is complete. The headphones support multipairing, saving connection history. If switching between devices or if pairing information is lost, re-pairing may be necessary. If a previous device prevents pairing, press and hold the volume buttons (+/-) for about 6 seconds to switch to "searching for devices" mode.

Listening to Music: Once paired, ensure your Bluetooth device's Bluetooth connection is active before turning on the headphones. Use your Bluetooth device to start music playback. The power supply/control button can play or pause music with a single press. Pressing it twice can activate the device's speech recognition function (e.g., Siri on compatible iOS devices). The volume can be increased or decreased by pressing the respective volume buttons (+ or -). Pressing and holding the '+' button for about 2 seconds plays the next track, while pressing and holding the '-' button for about 2 seconds plays the previous track. A beep will sound when the volume reaches its maximum or minimum level.

Talking on the Phone: If your Bluetooth device supports telephone features, the headphones can be used for calls. When a call is received, the headphones will sound a ring tone, and music playback will pause. To answer a call, press the power supply/control button. To reject a call, press and hold the power supply/control button for about 2 seconds. To end a call, press the power supply/control button. During a call, pressing and holding the power supply/control button for about 2 seconds will switch the call between your mobile phone and the headphones. Volume buttons adjust call volume.

Auto Power Off: The headphones automatically turn off after 5 minutes if not connected to a device, or after 30 minutes if in the "Waiting to be connected" status.

Wearing the Product: Insert the eartip marked "L" (LEFT) into your left ear and "R" (RIGHT) into your right ear. Adjust the eartips for a snug fit to ensure optimal sound quality, especially for bass sounds. The L (left) bushing has a protrusion for tactile distinction.

Water-Resistant (Drip-Proof) Performance: The headphones have IPX2 water-resistant capabilities, meaning they are protected against water droplets falling from above at a 15-degree angle. This protects against rain but not submersion or use in hot, humid environments like bathrooms. Ensure the USB cap is completely closed to maintain drip-proof performance.

Troubleshooting: If the product malfunctions, first try charging it. If issues persist, unpair and re-pair the device, check volume levels, ensure proper Bluetooth profile connection (A2DP for audio, HFP/HSP for phone calls), and move away from obstacles or sources of radio interference. A reset can be performed by disconnecting and reconnecting the USB charging cable. This does not alter settings like pairing information or volume.

Maintenance Features

Charging the Battery: Fully charge the battery before first use. When the battery is low, a warning sound will be emitted, and the indicator lamp will flash red. Charging takes approximately 2 hours. Always charge in a well-ventilated area (10 to 35 °C) away from direct sunlight to prevent battery deterioration. Use only the included USB charging cable. The indicator lamp lights red while charging and turns off when complete. A flashing red light indicates a charging error. If the product is on when charging begins, it will turn off.

Cleaning: Regular cleaning ensures longevity. Wipe the product with a dry cloth. Immediately wipe off any moisture, such as sweat, from operating areas to prevent corrosion. Pay special attention to eartip attachment parts, as natural oils can accumulate, potentially causing eartips to detach. Clean these areas regularly without touching the sound reproduction parts, which are delicate. Wipe perspiration or dirt from the cable immediately after use to prevent deterioration. Clean the cable's USB plug if dirty. Eartips can be removed and cleaned manually with a diluted mild detergent, then dried before reattaching. Store the product in a well-ventilated place, free from high temperatures and humidity, when not in use for extended periods.

Eartips: The headphones come with silicone eartips in S, M, and L sizes (M-size attached at purchase). Select the size that provides the best snug fit for optimal sound quality. Eartips are consumable parts and should be replaced if they become loose, easily removed, or degraded. When reattaching, ensure they are securely attached to prevent injury.
