5U Chassis Drive Slot Numbering
The Avid NEXIS | E5 and Avid NEXIS | E5 NL has two drawers for the system and Media Pack
drives. Drive slot numbering is shown in the following figure.
5U Chassis Rear View Details
The rear of the Avid NEXIS | E5 and Avid NEXIS | E5 NL provides access to the Controllers, power
supplies, and fans. In a single-Controller configuration, the Controller can be in either slot but Avid
recommends keeping it in the left-hand slot (Controller 0 in the figure below).
