measured exhaust gas HC values are always hexane
If a propane mixture is used as the calibration gas, this figure must be multiplied
by the PEF to determine the hexane concentration.
The PEF can be found in field 9 or on the rear panel of the evaluation unit.
e.g. PEF = 0.503
HC concentration (hexane) = concentration (propane) × 0.503
P Measuring chamber pressure
P should correspond approximately to the ambient air pressure.
If there is significant deviation (> 50 Torr) there is something wrong with the
measuring instrument unit..
T Measurement chamber temperature typical value ~45° C
System temperature typical value ~30° C
