networktrafcfromtheprivatenetworktothe“outside”,thatis,theInternet.Securityontheprivatenetwork(LAN)isincreased
sincemostroutersarepre-conguredtostopattemptstoaccesstheprivatenetwork(LAN)fromthepublicnetwork(Internet).
UseNATtraversalwhentheAxisproductislocatedonanintranet(LAN)andyouwishtomakeitavailablefromtheother(WAN)side
ofaNATrouter.WithNATtraversalproperlycongured,allHTTPtrafctoanexternalHTTPportintheNATrouterisforwardedto
theproduct.

porteldisemptyorcontainsthedefaultsetting,whichis0,aportnumberisautomaticallyselectedwhenenablingNATtraversal.

•AnalternativeHTTPportcanbeusedorbeactiveevenifNATtraversalisdisabled.ThisisusefulifyourNATrouterdoesnot
supportUPnPandyouneedtomanuallycongureportforwardingintheNATrouter.
•Ifyouattempttomanuallyenteraportthatisalreadyinuse,anotheravailableportisautomaticallyselected.
