found,thedefaultrouterisselected.
AlternativeHTTPport-SelectthisoptiontomanuallydeneanexternalHTTPport.Enteraportintherange1024–65535.Ifthe
porteldisemptyorcontainsthedefaultsetting,whichis0,aportnumberisautomaticallyselectedwhenenablingNATtraversal.

•AnalternativeHTTPportcanbeusedorbeactiveevenifNATtraversalisdisabled.ThisisusefulifyourNATrouterdoesnot
supportUPnPandyouneedtomanuallycongureportforwardingintheNATrouter.
•Ifyouattempttomanuallyenteraportthatisalreadyinuse,anotheravailableportisautomaticallyselected.
•Whentheportisselectedautomaticallyitisdisplayedinthiseld.Tochangethis,enteranewportnumberandclickSave.
FTP
TheFTPserverrunningintheAxisproductenablesuploadofnewrmware,userapplications,etc.TheFTPservercanbedisabled
underSystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Advanced.

ThisFTPserverhasnothingtodowiththeproduct’sabilitytotransferimagesviaFTPtootherlocationsandservers.
RTSP
TheRTSPserverrunningintheAxisproductallowsaconnectingclienttostartanH.264stream.TheRTSPportnumbercanbe
changedunderSystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Advanced.Thedefaultportis554.

H.264videostreamswillnotbeavailableiftheRTSPserverisdisabled.
SOCKS
SOCKSisanetworkingproxyprotocol.TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtouseaSOCKSservertoreachnetworksontheother
sideofarewallorproxyserver.ThisfunctionalityisusefuliftheAxisproductislocatedonalocalnetworkbehindarewall,and
notications,uploads,alarms,etcneedtobesenttoadestinationoutsidethelocalnetwork(forexampletheInternet).

QoS(QualityofService)
QoS(QualityofService)guaranteesacertainlevelofaspeciedresourcetoselectedtrafconanetwork.AQoS-awarenetwork
prioritizesnetworktrafcandprovidesagreaternetworkreliabilitybycontrollingtheamountofbandwidthanapplicationmayuse.
TheQoSsettingsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Network>QoS.UsingDSCP(DifferentiatedServicesCodepoint)values,the
Axisproductcanmarkdifferenttypesoftrafc.
