Resettofactorydefaultsettings
Important
Resettofactorydefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactorydefaultresetsallsettings,includingtheIPaddress,to
thefactorydefaultvalues.
Note
ThecamerahasbeenpreconguredwithAXISLicensePlateVerier.Ifyouresettofactorydefault,youneedtoreinstall
thelicensekey.See.
Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.Pressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.SeeProductoverviewonpage57.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor15–30secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorashesamber.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenreset
tothefactorydefaultsettings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90.
5.UsetheinstallationandmanagementsoftwaretoolstoassignanIPaddress,setthepassword,andaccessthedevice.
Theinstallationandmanagementsoftwaretoolsareavailablefromthesupportpagesonaxis.com/support.
Youcanalsoresetparameterstofactorydefaultthroughthedevice’swebinterface.GotoMaintenance>Factorydefaultand
clickDefault.
Firmwareoptions
Axisoffersproductrmwaremanagementaccordingtoeithertheactivetrackorthelong-termsupport(LTS)tracks.Beingonthe
activetrackmeanscontinuouslygettingaccesstoallthelatestproductfeatures,whiletheLTStracksprovideaxedplatformwith
periodicreleasesfocusedmainlyonbugxesandsecurityupdates.
Usingrmwarefromtheactivetrackisrecommendedifyouwanttoaccessthenewestfeatures,orifyouuseAxisend-to-end
systemofferings.TheLTStracksarerecommendedifyouusethird-partyintegrations,whicharenotcontinuouslyvalidated
againstthelatestactivetrack.WithLTS,theproductscanmaintaincybersecuritywithoutintroducinganysignicantfunctional
changesoraffectinganyexistingintegrations.FormoredetailedinformationaboutAxisproductrmwarestrategy,goto

Checkthecurrentrmwareversion
Firmwareisthesoftwarethatdeterminesthefunctionalityofnetworkdevices.Whenyoutroubleshootaproblem,werecommend
youtostartbycheckingthecurrentrmwareversion.Thelatestrmwareversionmightcontainacorrectionthatxesyour
particularproblem.
