WhenShutterandGainarebothsettoAuto,itispossibletosetthePrioritybetweenlowmotionblurandlownoisemanuallyandto
useadifferentPriorityinNormalLightandinLowLight.

Consideranareawherepeopleorvehiclesmoveduringtheday,butwherethereshouldbenomovementatnight.Tobeableto,
forexample,recognizefacesorlicenseplates,movethenormallightpriorityslidertowardlowmotionblur.Atnighttime,motion
detectionismoreimportantthanidentication.Motionblurisacceptableandsincelowlightcancausealotofnoise,move
thelowlightpriorityslidertowardlownoise.
Normallightpriority
1.UsetheslidertosetthePrioritybetweenLowmotionblurandLownoise.Whenprioritizinglownoise(slideralltheway
totheleft),thecamerawillautomaticallydecreaseshutterspeedasbrightnessdecreases.Whentheshutterspeedreaches
1/30s,thecameraincreasesgainuntilthesetmaximumgainfornormallightisreached.
Lowlightpriority
2.UsetheslidertosetthePrioritybetweenLowmotionblurandLownoise.Whenprioritizinglowmotionblur(slider
allthewaytotheright),thecameraautomaticallyincreasesgainasbrightnessdecreases.Whenthegainreachesthe
setmaximumgainforlowlight,thecamerawilldecreaseshutterspeeduntilthesetmaximumshutterforlowlightis
reached.Thisisthedefaultprioritysettingforlowlight.
3.SelecttheMaxgainvaluefromthedrop-downlist.Thisdenestheupperlimitforgaininthecontextofnormallight.
4.Maxfastshuttersetstheshutterspeedlimitinnormallight.Dependingonthescenario,theshutterspeedlimitmayneed
tobedened.ThisisdonethroughSystemOptions>Advanced>PlainCong.
Day/Night
TheIRcutlterpreventsinfrared(IR)lightfromreachingtheimagesensor.Inpoorlightingconditions,forexampleatnight,orwhen
usinganexternalIRlamp,settheIRcutltertoOff.Thisincreaseslightsensitivityandallowstheproductto“see”infraredlight.The
imageisshowninblackandwhitewhentheIRcutlterisoff.
IfusingautomaticExposurecontrol,settheIRcutltertoAutotoautomaticallyswitchbetweenOnandOffaccordingtothe
lightingconditions.

WLilluminationcanbeactivatedorde-activatedfromtheproduct’sLiveViewpage.
