Make sure the input Ethernet cable is connected to the DATA IN port, and the device is connected to the DATA PWR OUT port. Try connecting the device to a different Midspan to identify a faulty port or RJ-45 connection. Finally, check for shorts in the twisted pair cables or RJ-45 connectors.
