1.1 General

cautions mentioned in this manual.

Notice on safety
This equipment is built in acco rdance with the requi
rements of the international safety standards IEC60950 -1, EN60950-1,
UL60950-1 and CAN/CSA C 22.2 N o.60950-1, which are the safety standards of information technology equipmen t including
electrical business equipment. These safety standards impose im portant requirements on the use of safety critical components,
materials and insulation, in or der to protect th
e user or operator against risk of electric shock and energy hazard, and having
access to live parts. Safety standards also impose limits to the internal and external temperature rises, radiation levels, mechanical
stability and strength, enclosure construction and protection against t he risk of fire. Simulated s ingle fault c ondition testing ensures
the safety of the equipm ent to the user even wh
en the equipment’s normal operation fails.
Restricted access location
The FLM must be installed in a restricted acces s location, due to the temperature rise of parts of the equipment (air outlet).
Restricted access location
A location for equipment where both of t
he following paragraphs a pply:
1) Access can only be gained by S ERVICE PER SONS or by US ERS who have been instructed about the reasons for
the restriction applied to the location a nd about the precautions that s hall be taken.
2) Access is through the use of the tool or lock and key, or other m eans of security, and is controlled by the authority
responsible for the loca tion.
