1. Safety
Special Care for L aser Beam s: Special care should be use d when DLP p rojectors are used in th e same room as high pow er

Save the original packing material; they will come in handy if you ever have to ship y our equipm ent. For max imum protection,
repack your set as it was originally pac ked at the factory.
Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a dam p cloth for
cleaning. Never use strong solvents, such as thinner or benzine, or abra sive cleaners, since these wil
l damage the cabinet.
Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth lightly dampened with mild detergent solution.
To ensure the highes t optical performance and resolution, the projection lenses are specially treated with an anti-reective
coating, therefore, avoid touching the lens . To remove dust on the lens, use a so ft dry c loth. Do not use a damp cloth, detergent
solution, or thinner.

The lamp house shall be replaced if it has become damaged or thermally deform ed.
To prevent battery explosion
Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly installed.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the m anufacturer.
Dispose of used batteries acc ording to the manufacturer’s instruction.
To prevent re hazard
Warning “R isk of re”. Do not place ammable or combustible materials near the pr ojector !
This projector radiates heat on its external surfaces and from ventilation ducts during normal operation, which is both norm al
and safe. Exposing am mable or combustible m aterials into close pro ximity of this projector could result in the spontaneous
ignition of that material, resulting in a re. For this reason, it is absolutely n ecessary to leave an exclusion zone” around all
external su rfaces of the projector whereby no amm able or combustible materials are present. The exclusion zone must be not
less than 40 cm (18”). The ex clusion zone on the lens side must be at least 2 m (80”).
Do not c over the projector or the lens with any m aterial w hile the projector is in operation.
Mount the devic e in a well v entilated area away from sources of ignition and out of direct sun light.
Never expose the projector to rain or moisture.
In the event of r e, use s and, CO

, or dry powder re extinguishers; never use water on an electrical re.
This product should never be placed near or ov er a radiator or heat register.
This projector should not be placed in a built-in installation or enclosure unless proper ventilation is provided.
The operation room m ust be well ventilated or coo led in order to avoid build up of he
at.
On servicing
Do not attem pt to service this product yourself, as o pening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage p otentials
and risk of electric shock.
Refer all s ervicing to qualied s ervice personnel.
Fence off a restricted a rea of at least 3 meters around the projector using an eye-catching fence and “KEEP OU T” signs. This
to prevent unauthorized persons coming near the projector duri
ng servicing.
Unplug this product f rom the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualied service technicians under the following conditions:
- When the power cord or plug is da maged or frayed.
- If liquid has been spilled into the equipment.
- If the produ ct has been expo sed to rain or w ater.
- If the p roduct does not operate normally wh en the ope rating instructions are followed. Adjust only those controls that are
covered by the operating instructions since improper adjustment of the other c ontrols may result in damage and will often
require extensive work by a qualied technician to restore the product to normal operation.
- If the product has been dropped or the cabinet ha s been damaged.
- If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for service.
Replacement parts: W hen replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used original Barco replace-
ment parts. Unauthorized substitutions may result in degraded perform ance and reliability, re, electric shock or other hazards.
Unauthorized substitutions may v oid warranty.
Safety c heck: Upo n completion of any s ervice or repairs to this device, as k the service technician to perform s afety check s to
determine that the product is in proper operating condition.
Lamp replac ement: high pressure lamp may explode if improperly handled.
