About this document
Read this document attentively. It contains important information to prevent personal injury while installing and using the U D X pro-
jector. F urthermore, it inc ludes several c autions to prevent damage to the UDX projector. E nsure that you understand and follow all
safety guidelines, safety instructions and w arnings mentioned in this chapter before installing the UDX projector.
Clarification of the term “UDX” used in this document
When referring in this document to the term “UD X” means that the content is applicable for following Barco products:
• UDX 4K22
• UDX 4K32
• UDX U32
• UDX W22
• UDX W32
Model certification name
• UDX
Barco provides a guarantee relating to perfect manufacturing as part of the legally stipulated terms of guar-
antee. O bserving the specification mentioned in this chapter is critical for projector performance. Neglecting
this can result in loss of warranty.

General safety instructions
• Before operating this equipment please re
ad this manu al thoroughly a nd retain it for future reference.
• Installation and preliminary a djustments should b e performed by qualified Barco personnel or by authorized B arco service deal-
ers.
• All warnings on the projector and in the documentation manuals should be adhered to.
• All instructions for operating and use of this equipment must be followed precisely.
• All local installation cod es should be adhered to.
Notice on safety
This equipment is built in accordance with the requirements o f the international safety standards IEC60950-1, EN60950-1,
UL60950-1 and CAN/CSA C22.2 No.60950-1, w hich are the safety standards of information technology equipmen t including
electrical bus iness equipment. These safety standards impose important requirements on the use of safety critic al co mponents,
materials and ins ulation, in order to protect the user or operator against risk o f electric s hock and energy haz ard and ha ving access
to live parts. Safety standards also impose limits to the internal and external temperature rises, radiation levels, mechanical stability
