HYDRAULIC FILTER MAINTENANCE
THE DRAIN FILTER
(See Figure 2)
Thislterismountedintheshroudingenclosure.Thedrainlter(565-00061)containsareplaceablelterelement
whichsimplyunscrewsfromthelterhead.
Theselterelementsarenotre-usable.
ELEMENT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Removeoldelementbyunscrewingitfromlterhead.
2. Removeusedgasketfromgrooveinlterhead.
3. Takenewgasketfrominsidenewelementandinstallingrooveinlterhead.
4. Apply oil to new gasket.
NOTE:Onanewmachinethelterelementsmustbechangedafter
therst100hoursofoperatingtimeandthenevery400hoursafter
that.
THE RETURN FILTER
(See Figure 1)
The Return Filters (565-00116) are welded into the top of the hydraulic oil reservoir.
Thelterheadsmustbeunbolted,twisted,andliftedofftorevealthelterelementwhichcanthenberemovedand
replaced.
When maintaining the hydraulic system, keep all parts clean and remove all dirt from the area before you begin disas-
sembly. Use caps and plugs to keep dirt out of tubelines and openings.
