COLLECTOR TROUBLE SHOOTING CONTINUED...
11. Placethecleanhousingonaclean,rmworksurfacewiththechamferfacingup.
12. Lightly oil the bore of the housing and the seals that are installed on the spool.
13. Install both wear rings.
14. Carefully place the spool into the chamfer. Gently (by hand) apply downward pressure on the spool until at least
the second seal is inserted into the bore. Using a plastic mallet, gently and slowly tap the spool into the housing
until it appears to be almost all the way home.
15. Theniptheentirecollectoroverandtaponthehousing(notthemountingears)andthespoolwillextendoutof
the housing approximately 1/8 of an inch.
NOTE: If a hydraulic press is available, it can be used in place of the plastic mallet.
16. Place the thrust washer around the spool, install the retaining plate and Loctite the cap screws in place.
17. Torque cap screws to 45 Ft. Lbs.
