ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
This appliance must be installed by a competent person (such as one holding NICEIC
Registration) and in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations.
Before connecting the appliance, make sure the supply voltage marked on the Rating Plate
corresponds with the mains supply voltage.
IMPORTANT (BT2750, BT2790):
The power rating of these appliances requires a 30A supply
via a switched Cooker Point, double
pole isolator having a minimum 3mm contact separation, placed in an easily accessible position
adjacent to the appliance.
These appliances must NOT
be connected to the mains supply by means of a 13A plug.
IMPORTANT (BT2450):
This appliance should be connected to the mains supply via a 13Amp Switched Fused Spur,
which should be located in an easily accessible position adjacent to the appliance.
WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The wires in the mains supply lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
Green and Yellow – Earth
Blue – Neutral
Brown – Live
The wire coloured Green and Yellow must be connected to the terminal marked ‘E’ or with the
earth symbol (⊥) or coloured green and yellow.
The wire coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal marked ‘load’ and ‘N’.
The wire coloured Brown must be connected to the terminal marked ‘load’ and ‘L’.
Care must be taken to ensure that the temperature of the mains supply lead does not exceed 50°C.
REPLACING THE MAINS LEAD
In the event it is necessary to replace the mains supply lead, proceed as follows:
1) Disconnect the appliance from the supply and remove the back panel.
2) Undo the cable clamp screws and terminal screws to release the existing lead.
3) Assemble the replacement lead, which must confirm to the specification listed in the
Technical Data (at Page 16), ensuring the correct colour code connection and that all screws
are tightened correctly.
