7.4 Disposal
The units consist essentially of the following components and materials:
Electronic elements may contain dangerous material.
If the components are used as directed, there is no danger for human beings or to the environment.
Hazardous materials may be created or released in case of fire.
Electronic components must not be opened, since beryllium oxide is used as internal insulation e.g. in
diverse semiconductors.
The beryllium dust set free when the components are opened, is dangerous to your health.
The units and modules must be recycled at the end of their service life.
If recycling is not possible dispose the units and modules according to the national regulations and the
regional and local ordinances.
Component Material
Housing Sheet-steel, aluminium
Chokes Copper, transformer magnetic sheet-steel
Various spacers, housing of current
converter and unit fan, etc.
Plastic
PCBs on which all the open- and
closed-loop electronics are mounted
Base material: Epoxy-resin fiberglass woven material, copper-coated on both sides
and plated-through, various electronic components such as condensors, resistors,
relays, semiconductors, etc.
