1. Regeneration starts automatically: Based on the utilization time and water
treatment capacity of a cycle, the system will start the regeneration process.
2. The residual hardness of the outlet water can be adjusted by means of the
mixing valves (rear by-pass valves).
3. Automatic memory function: The parameters set by the manufacturer such as
regeneration time, washing time, brine aspiration and slow rinsing, brine tank lling time,
fast washing time and so on, are saved indenitely in the memory of the equipment.
4. Auto-lock: If no key is manipulated for 1 minute, the keypad is locked. To unlock,
press and hold the “up” and “down” keys for 5 seconds. This prevents improper handling.
5. Delayed volumetric regeneration: Once the programmed cycle (m

) is nished,
it will perform the regeneration at 02:00h AM on the following day.
6. Automatic Operation:
- Softening: The ow of unscaled water passes through the resin, and the
calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water are replaced by sodium ions from
the resin until the resin is saturated.
- Backwashing: Once the resin is saturated and loses its e󰀨ectiveness, the
program initiates backwashing prior to its regeneration. The resin is cleaned
of impurities adhering to its surface and the counter-current ow sponges the
compacted resin and promotes contact between the resin spheres and the brine
of the next step.
- Brine aspiration: A ow of dilute brine passes through the resin and causes the
calcium and magnesium ions bound to the surface of the resin to be replaced by
sodium ions, causing the resin to regenerate and regain its exchange capacity
(softening).
- Brine tank lling: The brine tank is relled with water to dissolve the salt to
prepare the saturated brine for the next regeneration.
- Quick washing: Removes residual brine from the bottle and compacts the resin
spheres in order to achieve the best softening e󰀨ect. Once completed, the water
softener automatically returns to the Service (softening) position.
