Why BeefEater 1500 will not light?
    • H
      Hannah WoodJul 28, 2025
Your BeefEater Grill might not light due to several reasons. It could be that the ignition system isn't working, so check for a visible spark at the starter probe. Ensure the gas valve on the cylinder is open and that there are no obstructions in the burner ports or gas injectors. Also, make sure the burners are correctly positioned and that the burner ports or throat are not blocked by spider webs or insect nests. If you are turning on the gas control too quickly, allow at least 5 seconds for gas to flow through the burner before ignition. Clean out any blockages as needed.

If your BeefEater Grill lights but then goes out, the issue could stem from the fuel supply. Ensure the gas valve at the cylinder is turned on and that the gas cylinder isn't low or empty; replace it if necessary and perform a leak check. Also, verify that the gas line isn't kinked or twisted, and make sure the grill is shielded from wind or breeze affecting its operation.
