Precious- and non-precious metal without
crucible insert
Trigger casting when the casting temperature
is reached and the alloys melt appears ready
for casting according to visual evaluation.
Pd-base alloys without crucible insert
When the casting temperature is reached, wait
for 10 seconds before triggering casting.
Precious-metal alloys with crucible insert
When the casting temperature is reached, it
must be maintained several seconds before
casting is triggered (see table on page 39).
This holding time is absolutely necessary to
optimize the flow behaviour of the alloy! Trig-
ger casting when the holding time has elapsed
and the actual temperature has reached the
casting temperature.
The casting is carried out with overpressure.
Finally, the casting number, spilt alloy and casting
temperature are displayed.
The motion of the melt is caused by the magnetic
field, not by the heat. The moving melt is
therefore not a boiling melt.
The casting temperature is not exceeded by
virtue of the automatic switching on and off of the
generator ("clocking").
