Basic principles
VARSEO S uses a powerful LED light source to
create plastic objects from a liquid resin mixture. To
prevent premature solidifying of the resin mixture it
should only be used in a light protected and
darkened environment. There will still be some non-
solidified resin on the object after the print job has
been completed. Any further solidifying of the resin
reduces the accuracy of the manufactured object.
The construction of the object takes place with
individual layers which bond to each other. Every
new layer solidifies on the non-stick film, which is
located on the bottom of the cartridge. Any damage
to the non-stick film can lead to flaws in the solidified
layer and therefore cause flaws in the object.
When the VARSEO S is delivered, it is set-up so that
the stamp dispensing the resin is parallel to the non-
stick film. Should they not be parallel, the print job
may become detached from the stamp, the layers
may only bond poorly and the lift rod may twist
inside the cap.
Important! Check the non-stick film for signs of
damage prior to starting the print job and replace
it, if necessary (→ page 40).
