The z direction is examined by means of the test
mandrels located on the testing gauge.
Place the corresponding mandrel between the two
walls of the test specimen and check to which extent
(-) or (+) fit or not; try to tilt the test gauge back and
forth during that process.
With the test specimen (-), the tip of the test mandrel
must not reach the bottom; therefore, the test gauge
must not tilt when applied.
With the test specimen (+), the tip of the mandrel
reaches the bottom; however, it should not reach the
sides of the grid and must allow tilting.
If the mandrel of test specimen (-) reaches the
bottom or if the mandrel of test specimen (+) does
not reach the bottom, please contact the service
department.
