In AVG“ display mode, the display of the measurement values saved for the
average value calculation can be selected by pressing the navigation keys (6) .
Here, the additional sym bol AVG“ disappears, and the sym bol [ R] is display-
ed in the left bottom corner of the display.
The mode “ measurement with average value calculation is quit when pres-
sing the “ AVG“ key (3).
The memorised data remain in the data memory, even if the instrument is
switched off. The data is only deleted once the “ AVG“ mode is selected and
when starting a new measurement series.
To display the average value again, the Average Value“ mode has to be se-
lected using the “ AVG“ key (3) and the display of the saved measurement se-
ries has to be selected using the “ READ” key (9).
5.5 Luminous Intensity M easurement
The luminous intensity is calculated using the following formula:
Luminous intensity (cd) = illumination (Lx) x [distance(m)] Ç
This only applies if the light falls in right angle onto the illuminated surface.
Press the “ I power key to turn on the meter.
Press lux/fc key select the desired lux or fc unit.
Remove the photo detector cap and face to light source in a horizontal posi-
tion.
Press cd key to enter to lum inous intensity m easurement m ode, the annun-
ciatorcd
Press the „ Lux/fc (7) key to select m or ft.
Measure the distance between sensor and light source.
Press the n avi gation keys to set t he d ist ance betw een t he “ light cent er of lam p
and measurement base level” .
The preset maximum distance is 0.01 ~ 30.47m or 0.01 ~ 99.99ft
Read the illuminance value from the LCD display.
Press the “ H key, if the displayed value needs to be hold.
Press cd or lux/fc key to exit this mode
