Here, the additional sym bol “ AVG“ disappears, and the sym bol [ R] is display-
ed in the left bottom corner of the display.
• The mode “ measurement with average value calculation“ is quit when pres-

The memorised data remain in the data memory, even if the instrument is
switched off. The data is only deleted once the “ AVG“ mode is selected and
when starting a new measurement series.

5.5 Luminous Intensity M easurement
The luminous intensity is calculated using the following formula:
Luminous intensity (cd) = illumination (Lx) x [distance(m)] Ç
This only applies if the light falls in right angle onto the illuminated surface.
• Press the “ I” power key to turn on the meter.
• Press “lux/fc” key select the desired lux or fc unit.
• Remove the photo detector cap and face to light source in a horizontal posi-
tion.
• Press “ cd” key to enter to lum inous intensity m easurement m ode, the annun-
ciator “cd”
• Press the „ Lux/fc“ (7) key to select m or ft.
• Measure the distance between sensor and light source.
• Press the n avi gation keys to set t he d ist ance betw een t he “ light cent er of lam p”
and “measurement base level” .
The preset maximum distance is 0.01 ~ 30.47m or 0.01 ~ 99.99ft
• Read the illuminance value from the LCD display.
• Press the “ H” key, if the displayed value needs to be hold.
• Press “cd” or “lux/fc” key to exit this mode
