7 Care and Cleaning
Service life of the product will extend
and frequently encountered problems
will decrease if the product is cleaned
periodically.

to clean the condenser every
six months using gloves. You
must not use vacuum cleaners.
• Never use gasolne, benzene or smlar
substances for cleanng purposes.
• Never use any sharp abrasve
nstruments, soap, household cleaners,
detergent or wax polsh for cleanng.
• Dssolve one teaspoon of carbonate n
half lter of water. Soak a cloth n the
soluton and wrng t thoroughly. Wpe the
nteror of the refrgerator wth ths cloth
and the dry thoroughly.
• Make sure that no water enters the lamp
housng or other electrcal parts.
• Wpe the metal drawer and the metal she-
et under the tray wth a damp cloth only.
• If you wll not use the refrgerator for
a long tme, unplug t, remove all food
nsde, clean t and leave the door ajar.
• Check regularly that the door gaskets are
clean. If not, clean them.
• Take out all tems n the product to
remove the door and body shelves.
• Remove the door shelves by pullng them
up. Slde the shelves downwards to re-
nstall them after cleanng.
• Never use chlorc cleanng agents or
water to clean outer surfaces or chrome-
coated parts of the product. Chlorne
causes abrason on such metal surfaces.
• For non-No Frost products, water drops
and frostng up to a fngerbreadth
occur on the rear wall of the Frdge
compartment. Do not clean t; never apply
ol or smlar agents on t.
• Only use slghtly damp mcrofber cloths
to clean the outer surface of the product.
Sponges and other types of cleanng
cloths may scratch the surface.
7.1 Avoiding Bad Odours
Materials that may cause odour are not
used in the production of our refrigerators.
However, odour may be emitted if foods are
stored improperly or if the inner surface of
the product is not cleaned as required. Please
consider the following to avoid this problem:
• It s mportant that the refrgerator
s kept clean. Food resduals, stans,
etc. can cause odour. For ths reason,
clean your refrgerator wth carbonate
solved n water every 15 days. Never use
detergents or soap.
• Keep your foods n closed vessels.
Mcroorgansms emtted from vessels
wthout a cover may cause unpleasant
odours.
• Never keep expred or spoled foods n
your refrgerator.
7.2 Protection of plastic surfaces
Do not put liquid oils or oil-cooked meals in
your refrigerator in unsealed containers as
they damage the plastic surfaces of your
refrigerator. If oil is spilled or smeared onto
the plastic surfaces, clean and rinse the
relevant part of the surface with warm water
immediately.
7.3 Cleaning the Inner Surface
To clean the inner surfaces and all removable
parts, wash them with a mild solution
comprising soap, water and carbonate. Rinse
and dry thoroughly. Prevent the water from
contacting the lighting means and control
panel.

or other alcohol-based cleaning
agents on any of the inner
surfaces.
