Why Belkin N Wireless signal strength is poor?
    • S
      Stephen ChapmanAug 15, 2025
Poor signal strength can occur because connectivity and throughput performance decrease as the distance between devices increases. Obstructions such as walls and metal appliances can also degrade the signal. To improve signal strength, try temporarily moving the computer five to 10 feet away from the wireless router (or access point). Additionally, changing the wireless channel of your network may improve performance and reliability, depending on local wireless traffic and interference.

What to do if Belkin Network Card data transfer is slow?
    • E
      Erica JuarezAug 19, 2025
Slow data transfer can occur because connectivity and the throughput performance between devices decreases when the distance between devices increases. Other factors that will cause signal degradation are obstructions such as walls and metal appliances. To solve this, temporarily move the computer, if possible, to five to 10 feet away from the wireless router (or access point).

Why I can’t connect to the Internet wirelessly with Belkin N Wireless?
    • G
      Gloria LewisAug 21, 2025
Make sure that the router’s power cord is plugged in, all cables are connected between the router and the modem, and all the modem’s LEDs are functioning correctly. If not, see your modem’s user manual. You may also need to reboot the router and the modem.

What to do if Belkin Network Card Link LED is solid but I cannot connect to the Internet?
    • C
      cooleymariaAug 26, 2025
If the Link LED is solid but you cannot connect to the Internet, there may be a mismatch between the encryption key settings in your computer and wireless router (or access point). Check the WEP, WPA, or WPA2 key settings to see if they match. The key is case-sensitive, and the spelling on each computer and wireless router (or access point) must be exactly the same in order for the Card to connect to the router.

What to do if Belkin N Wireless Network Card does not perform or connection is unstable when computer has a second built-in wireless network card?
    • E
      Eric Miller DDSAug 28, 2025
If the card does not perform or the connection is unstable when your computer has a second built-in wireless network card, it may be because Windows must now handle two active wireless connections. To resolve this, disable the built-in wireless card from your computer under 'Network Adapters' in the Device Manager.

What to do if Belkin Network Card Link LED is blinking slowly and I cannot connect to a wireless network or the Internet?
    • P
      Phillip McintoshSep 2, 2025
If the Link LED is blinking slowly and you cannot connect to a wireless network or the Internet, there may be a mismatch between the network name (SSID) settings in your wireless network properties. Check the SSID settings to see if they match. The SSID is case-sensitive, and the spelling on each computer must be exactly the same in order for the Card to connect to the wireless router (or access point).

    • C
      Connie DavenportSep 12, 2025
If the Power LED does not come ON and the Card is not working, it may be because the Card is not connected or installed properly. Verify that the Card is plugged firmly into the CardBus slot of your computer. Check to see that the drivers for the Card have been installed. Right-click on the “My Computer” icon on your desktop. Choose “Properties” and navigate to the “Device Manager” and see if your CardBus Card is listed without any errors. If an error is indicated, contact Belkin Technical Support.
