This delicious Apple Pie filling can be easily prepared
in a microwave oven. With a taste comparable to honey, agave nectar
is a healthy, natural sweetener available at most grocery stores.
40% sweeter than sugar, less agave is needed.

APPLE PIE
Makes 4 pies

1. Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl
for 11 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
2. Allow the apple filling to cool in refrigerator to room temperature.
3. Preheat the Pie Maker until the green READY light illuminates.
4. If 1-crust pies are desired, add and form 4 bottom pie crusts only.
5. Spoon 1/4 to 1
/3 cup apple filling into each pie.
To avoid food baked onto the top cooking plate, do not over-fill.
6. For 2-crust pies, center top pie crusts over each pie.
IMPORTANT: Pies with insufficient filling will not form a good shape
and may not brown on top. To avoid overflow and soggy crusts,
never overfill pie crusts.
7. Close and lock lid. Bake for approximately 12 minutes
or until crusts are golden brown.
8. Remove baked pies from the cooking plate using a non-metallic
wooden or plastic non-scratch utensil.
CAUTION HOT SURFACES: The Pie Maker cooking plates are HOT.
Do not touch the hot cooking plates with bare skin or hands.
9. Allow pies to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving.

Peanut Caramel Apple Pie: For a special treat, chop caramels
into quarters and roll in chopped peanuts. Add nut-coated caramel(s)
to the center of each pie before adding top crust.

1/4 cup agave nectar (may
substitute 1 cup sugar)
1 tablespoon instant tapioca
1 tablespoon lemon juice
