Function Description:

The induction hob utilizes electromagnetic fields to directly heat the cookware, making it highly energy-efficient and responsive. It offers various power levels, including a "Boost" function for rapid heating, and a timer control that can be used as a minute minder or to automatically switch off cooking zones after a set duration. The flexible bridge function allows two cooking zones to be combined into a single large zone, accommodating larger or irregularly shaped cookware like fish kettles.

Usage Features:

  • Touch Controls: The hob is operated via touch-sensitive controls on the glass surface. Users simply touch the relevant keys with the flat of their finger to select cooking zones, adjust power levels, and activate functions.
  • On/Off Control: A dedicated On/Off key allows users to power the hob on and off.
  • Heating Zone Selection: Individual control keys for each heating zone enable users to select and activate specific cooking areas.
  • Power/Timer Slider Touch Control: A slider control is used to adjust the power level for each cooking zone, ranging from 1 to 9, and also to set the timer duration.

  • Keylock Control: A keylock function is included to prevent unintended operation, particularly useful for households with children. When activated, all controls except the On/Off key are disabled.
  • Timer Control: The hob features a versatile timer that can function in two ways:
    • Minute Minder: The timer can be set to count down a specified duration without affecting the cooking zones.
    • Cooking Zone Timer: The timer can be linked to one or more cooking zones to automatically switch them off after the set time has elapsed. The timer display shows the remaining time for the zone due to finish first.
  • Cookware Detection: The hob automatically detects the presence and suitability of cookware. If an unsuitable or improperly placed pan is detected, the display will flash, and heating will not occur.
  • Residual Heat Warning: After a cooking zone is switched off, an "H" indicator will appear on the display if the surface is hot to the touch, warning users of residual heat. This indicator disappears once the surface has cooled to a safe temperature.
  • Auto Shut Down: As a safety protection function, the hob will automatically shut down a cooking zone if it is left on for an extended period without user interaction, based on default working times for each power level.
  • Energy Saving: The residual heat warning can also be used as an energy-saving function, allowing users to utilize the remaining heat for other cooking tasks.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning the Glass Cooktop:
    • Everyday Soiling: For fingerprints, marks, or non-sugary spills, switch off the cooktop, apply a cooktop cleaner while the glass is still warm (but not hot), rinse, and wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
    • Boilovers, Melts, and Hot Sugary Spills: These should be removed immediately with a fish slice, palette knife, or razor blade scraper suitable for induction glass cooktops. Scrape the spill to a cool area of the cooktop, clean it up with a dishcloth or paper towel, and then follow the steps for everyday soiling. Extreme care should be taken due to razor-sharp blades and hot surfaces.
  • Cleaning Touch Controls: If spills occur on the touch controls, switch off the cooktop, soak up the spill, wipe the area with a clean damp sponge or cloth, and then dry completely with a paper towel before turning the cooktop back on. This prevents the controls from malfunctioning.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners, sharp metal scrapers, heavy-duty scourers, or nylon scourers on the hob surface, as they can scratch the glass. Always check cleaner labels for suitability.
  • No Steam Cleaners: Steam cleaners should not be used on any cooking range, hob, or oven appliance.
