The DIB Special Edition is an owner's manual for a bidet designed for household use. It provides comprehensive instructions for installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, ensuring safe and effective use of the product.
Function Description
The DIB Bidet is designed to provide a hygienic and comfortable cleansing experience. Its core function is to deliver a continuous supply of warm water for washing, with additional features to enhance the user experience. The bidet incorporates a deodorization function to eliminate odors and an energy-saving mode to reduce power consumption. It also includes a child setting for optimized use by children and a user preset function to store preferred settings for different users.
Usage Features
The DIB Bidet offers a range of features to customize the cleansing experience:
Washing Functions:
- Continuous Warm Water Supply: Ensures a consistent flow of warm water throughout the wash cycle for comfort.
- Posterior Wash: A standard wash function for general cleansing.
- Feminine Wash: A gentle wash specifically designed for feminine hygiene.
- Vortex Wash: Provides a soft yet powerful water wash for added cleansing benefits. This specialized water spray enters the rectum to help relieve constipation and fecal stasis.
- Bubble Wash: Aerated water wash for enhanced cleaning comfort.
- Pulse & Oscillate: Offers a pulsating wash that cycles from weak to strong, and the nozzle moves back and forth for a massage effect. This "Wide Clean" (Oscillation) function can be activated during Posterior and Feminine washes to move the nozzle back and forth for a wider cleansing range. It does not operate in Vortex mode.
- Water Pressure Control: Allows users to adjust the water pressure to their desired level across five steps.
Nozzle Control:
- Stainless Steel Nozzle: Promotes better hygiene.
- Nozzle Position Control: Users can adjust the nozzle position during Posterior, Feminine, and Vortex washes for optimal cleansing.
- Manual Nozzle Cleaning: A dedicated function to extend and stop the nozzle for manual cleaning with a toothbrush.
Temperature Control:
- Water Temperature Control: Allows adjustment of water temperature across four steps (Room temp, Low, Mid, High).
- Seat Temperature Control: Enables adjustment of the heated seat temperature across four steps (Room temp, Low, Mid, High).
Drying Function:
- Dry Function: Provides a warm air dry for up to 3 minutes, with five adjustable temperature levels. The drying effect can be improved by lightly wiping moisture before operation.
Comfort and Convenience Features:
- Deodorization Function: An activated carbon filter eliminates odors efficiently, starting automatically when the user sits on the seat and continuing for an additional minute after leaving. The speed of the deodorizing fan can be controlled through user settings.
- Heated Seat: Provides warmth for comfort, with a low-temperature burn protection feature that automatically sets the seat heater to a lower temperature (32°C, 90°F) if the user sits for more than 15 consecutive minutes.
- Child Settings: Optimizes nozzle position and water pressure for children, with the nozzle moving one level forward and water pressure being one level weaker than normal. Seat temperature is also set one level lower. Vortex wash does not operate in Child mode.
- User Preset: Allows users to preset and store their preferred nozzle position, water pressure, dry, water, and seat temperatures for two different users.
- Remote Control: A convenient touch screen remote control provides an easy user interface. It includes an activating indicator, buttons for various wash functions, nozzle control, temperature adjustments, energy saving, and massage (pulse).
- Night Light: Can be turned on and off via the remote control.
- Silent Mode: Allows users to turn the chime sound on or off.
Energy Saving Modes:
- Automatic Energy Save Mode: Activated by pressing the Energy Saving button until a yellow LED lights on. In this mode, the seat temperature is maintained at 32°C.
- Smart Energy Save Mode: Activated by pressing the Energy Saving button until a green LED lights on. The seat temperature is kept at 32°C when unoccupied and then raised to the preset level based on memorized usage patterns. This mode requires 5-7 days for the unit to learn the usage pattern.
- Instant Heating Technology: The unit uses instant heating for water, meaning it does not consume energy for water heating in standby mode.
Maintenance Features
The DIB Bidet is designed for relatively easy maintenance to ensure its longevity and hygiene.
Cleaning:
- Manual Nozzle Cleaning: The nozzle can be extended and stopped for 2 minutes by pressing the "Posterior" button for longer than 3 seconds, allowing for manual cleaning with a toothbrush. After cleaning, pressing "STOP" retracts the nozzle.
- Cleaning of Bidet Body: The exterior surface, made of plastic, should be wiped with a soft damp cloth. Avoid using scrubbers or harsh chemicals. Do not spray water directly onto the surface. The body should be cleaned after removing the power plug from the outlet, ensuring no water splashes onto the power plug or outlet. Users are warned not to touch the power outlet with wet hands due to the risk of electric shock.
Water Drainage:
- Drain Remaining Water: If the bidet will not be used for a long time (more than a few days), the power plug should be removed, the water feed valve closed, and the water drained from the main body by pressing a button on the side of the bidet.
Winter Maintenance:
- For prolonged non-use, especially during winter, it is recommended to close the water shut-off valve and drain the water from the bidet to prevent potential damage from freezing.
Filter Replacement:
- Inline Carbon Filter: An external water filter is recommended only in areas with known hard water issues and should be replaced every 3 months. The manual specifies that only Bio Bidet DIB water filters should be used, as using non-DIB filters will void the warranty and absolve BBC Innovation LLC of responsibility for any resulting damages.
