Overview

The Bio Bidet Discovery DLS is an advanced smart toilet seat designed to enhance personal hygiene and comfort. It offers a range of features for washing, drying, and general convenience, all controllable via a remote or side buttons.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Discovery DLS is to provide a comprehensive bidet experience. It includes both rear and front wash functions, with an oscillating spray for thorough cleaning. The "Dynamic Stream" feature offers an alternating hot and cold water wash to stimulate bowel movements. After washing, a warm air dryer reduces the need for toilet paper, with adjustable fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) and an automatic shut-off after 4 minutes.

For user comfort, the seat features a heated seat with adjustable temperature settings. The water temperature for washing is also adjustable, as is the water pressure and nozzle position (forward/backward) to achieve optimal cleanliness.

The Discovery DLS incorporates a "Pre-Nozzle Rinse" cycle that activates when the seat sensor detects a user, rinsing the nozzle before each wash function. This ensures hygiene and prepares the nozzle for use. A built-in UV sterilizer automatically cleanses the nozzle after each use, providing an additional layer of sanitation.

Convenience features include an automatic open/close lid and seat, which can be toggled on/off by holding the "Nozzle Clean" and "Dynamic Stream" buttons for 3 seconds. A "Night Light" function provides a soothing glow for easy navigation in the dark, and its on/off state can be controlled by pressing the night light button. The device also has an "Auto Clean" function, which initiates a pre-programmed wash and dry cycle (90 seconds rear wash followed by 4 minutes warm air dry).

Usage Features:

The Discovery DLS can be operated using either a remote control or side buttons located on the unit.

Remote Control:

The remote control provides comprehensive command over all functions. It features dedicated buttons for:

  • Stop: Halts all current operations.
  • Front Wash: Activates an oscillating front wash. Pressing again disables oscillation.
  • Rear Wash: Activates an oscillating rear wash. Pressing again disables oscillation.
  • Warm Air Dryer: Turns on the warm air dryer. Adjustable fan speeds are available.
  • Auto Clean: Initiates the pre-programmed wash and dry cycle.
  • Open/Close Lid & Seat: Controls the automatic opening and closing of the lid and seat.
  • Adjustable Nozzle Position: Moves the nozzle forward or backward.
  • Adjustable Water Pressure: Increases or decreases water pressure.
  • Adjustable Seat Temperature: Adjusts the heated seat temperature.
  • Adjustable Air Temperature: Adjusts the warm air dryer temperature.
  • Adjustable Water Temperature: Adjusts the wash water temperature.
  • Nozzle Clean: Extends the nozzle for manual cleaning (only when the seat is unoccupied).
  • Dynamic Stream: Activates the alternating hot/cold wash.
  • Night Light: Toggles the LED night light on/off.

Remote Control Pairing:

If the remote is unresponsive, it can be re-paired by:

  1. Unplugging the bidet seat.
  2. Pressing and holding the "STOP" button on the remote until indicator lights flash.
  3. Holding the remote close to the bidet seat and plugging the unit back in. The indicator lights will stop flashing upon successful pairing.

Side Buttons:

The side buttons offer essential controls:

  • Power/Stop Button: Turns the bidet on/off. A short press powers on, a long press enters standby mode. A short press while powered on stops any operations. The power button's color indicates status: blue for UV sterilization mode or in use, red for ready to use.
  • Auto Wash: Activates the pre-programmed wash and dry cycle.
  • Rear Wash: Initiates a rear wash.

General Cautions for Use:

  • Avoid using "high" or "medium" seat/warm air temperatures for extended periods to prevent burns.
  • Ensure skin is close to the seat's sensing area during use for proper operation of cleaning and drying functions.
  • Do not urinate on the nozzle to prevent dirt and clogging.
  • Use the provided new hose assembly for installation; do not reuse old hoses or connect other appliances to the water source to prevent leaks.
  • Unplug the power plug and close the angle valve during sudden power outages to prevent leaks.
  • Avoid direct sunlight or heating equipment near the product to prevent discoloration.
  • Do not supply power through external switching devices like timers to avoid incorrect thermal circuit breaker resetting.
  • Ensure the water supply angle valve is turned off when removing the strainer, and tighten it firmly upon reinstallation to prevent leaks.
  • For long periods of non-use (e.g., business trips), unplug the power plug, close the water source, and drain internal water to prevent freezing damage, fire, and leaks.
  • During cold weather transport or storage, take anti-freezing measures to prevent damage from frozen internal water.
  • Install a water stop valve in a convenient position to cut off inlet water in emergencies.
  • Do not flush newsprint, paper pads, sanitary napkins, or other easily blocked items.
  • Do not use in environments below 0°C.
  • Avoid hitting the ceramic with heavy objects to prevent damage and leakage.
  • Do not insert cementing materials into the toilet base to prevent cracking.
  • Use batteries correctly: install with correct polarity, remove when not in use for a long time, replace depleted batteries promptly, insulate discarded batteries, keep out of reach of infants, and rinse immediately if electrolyte touches skin or eyes.
  • Do not carry or store batteries with metal products, mix old and new batteries, decompose, or put batteries in water or fire.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning the Discovery DLS:

  • Disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
  • Use a wet cloth to clean the product.
  • Do not spray water directly onto the product.
  • Avoid using thinners, benzene, or harsh toilet bowl cleaners (like sulfuric acid, nitric acid, glacial acetic acid, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, acetone, butanone, benzene, toluene, phenol, cresol, dimethyl formamide, methyl ether, soybean oil, 95% acetate, 40% nitric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, brake oil, etc.) on plastic parts, as this may cause discoloration, cracking, personal injury, electric shock, or fire.
  • Do not force back, stand on the cover plate, or roughly open and close the cover plate or seat ring to avoid damage.
  • Do not add water or detergent inside the smart toilet seat or wet the intelligent toilet lid and power plug with water or detergent.
  • Regularly pull out the power plug and wipe dust with a dry cloth to prevent insulation issues and fire.

Cleaning the Nozzle:

  • The "Nozzle Clean" feature extends the nozzle for manual cleaning when the seat is unoccupied.
  • Gently clean the extended nozzle with a soft cloth or toothbrush.
  • Press the "Stop" button to retract the nozzle.

Cleaning the Strainer:

  • Turn off the water supply angle valve before removing the strainer.
  • Ensure the strainer is firmly tightened when reinstalling it to prevent water leakage.

Water Draining:

  • In case of damage to the seat and cover plate, or for extended travel, disconnect the power plug, turn off the water source, and drain the internal water.
  • To drain water from the bidet, hold the release button (located on the side of the unit).

Extended Travel:

  • If the seat will not be used for more than a few days, it is recommended to unplug the unit and turn off the water shutoff valve.

Unit Separation (Removing the Discovery DLS):

  1. Disconnect the power plug.
  2. Close the water supply shut-off valve.
  3. Drain the water from the bidet by holding the release button.
  4. Remove the bidet seat from the toilet by sliding it off the catch plate.
