Important Information

Cautions When Using Gas Sensors

Exposure to Silicone Vapours

Adsorption of silicone vapours irreversibly inhibits sensor sensitivity. Avoid adhesives.

Corrosive Environment

Exposure to corrosive materials may cause irreversible sensor damage.

Water Exposure

Water exposure, especially salt water, can adversely affect sensor performance.

Freezing Conditions

Freezing on the sensor surface may cause irreversible damage to the internal element.

High Gas Density Usage

High gas density exposure for prolonged periods may adversely affect sensor performance.

Explosive Limits

Sensors calibrated to 20% LEL LPG in Air; LEL varies by gas type.

False Positive Alarms

Can be caused by aerosols, perfumes, solvents, alcohol, and other chemicals.
