Use of the thermometer
1. Keep the SCAN-button (fully pressed
down for one second) (special design to
avoid accidental contact). The system
begins with a self-test after 1 second; see
Figure 1.
When switching on, never press
the SCAN button for more than 5 seconds,
as otherwise you will get a
special measurement mode in which the
device will not make a correct measure
-
ment. Let the device switch off automati
-
cally and then switch it on again correctly.
2. As soon as the self-test is complete, will
appear the last measured temperature
on the display (Figure 2). This is a sign
that the thermometer is ready to make a
measurement.
3. Place the measuring head on the temple,
keep the SCAN-button held down and
then pull evenly across the forehead to
the other temple (Figure 3).

4. Let go of the SCAN-button and read the
measured value. At the end of the measu
-
rement an audible signal will sound. The
measured temperature appears on the display
together with a face symbol (see Figure 4).
