Common Faults and Troubleshooting
Fuel system
The engine is unable to be
started.
Fuel not entering the carburetor;
Check fuel lines for blockage
Fuel not flowing from fuel tank;
The vacuum line fitting leaks;
Replace the vacuum line fitting
The fuel line is blocked;
The vacuum hose is blocked.
The vehicle is difficult to start
or the fuel is excessively
consumed.
The carburetor is blocked;
Clean or replace the carburetor
Incorrect air/fuel mixture;
Readjust the mixing ratio and concentration of the
carburetor.
Clean the carburetor or replace the carburetor floater
The fuel filter is blocked;
The throttle of the carburetor is worn;
The air vent of the fuel tank is blocked;
Remove blockage in air vent of the fuel tank
Add fuel to the fuel tank
Air intake/exhaust
system
The vehicle is hard to start
The Air filter element is blocked;
Clean the air filter element
The air filter has too much dust;
Clean the air filter element.
The air filter housing leaks;
Repair or change the air filter housing.
