4. How the Thermometer Measures Body Temperature
The thermometer measures infrared energy radiated from the
skin of the temporal area and surrounding tissue. This energy
is collected through the lens and converted to a temperature
value. The measured reading obtained 1 cm above the tail of the
eyebrow can ensure the most accurate temperature.
