TROUBLESHOOTING & WARRANTY
TROUBLE POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE REMEDY
Appliance does not turn on Appliance is not plugged in.
Check that appliance is
plugged into a working outlet.
No airow when the unit is
powered on
No water in the tank. Fill the water tank with water.
Refer to AIR COOLER SET-UP
section of this manual.
The water tank is not installed
properly.
Make sure the water tank is
securely in place. Refer to AIR
COOLER SET-UP section of
this manual.
No Cooling
There is not enough water in
the tank.
Rell the water tank. Refer to
EVAPORATIVE AIR COOLER
SET-UP section of this manual.
The Cooling Control button
was not pressed.
Press the Cooling Control
button to activate.
The pump is not working. Contact the BLACK + DECKER
Customer Service Center.
Not Cooling Enough
The cooling pad is not
sufciently saturated with
water.
Operate the unit for 2-3
minutes to make sure the
cooling pad becomes
saturated with water. If speed
3 was selected the unit will
operate in speed 2 until the
cooling pad is saturated and
revert back to speed 3.
The water tank in the water
tank is not cool.
Use ice packs or ice cubes.
Water is coming out of the
vents in Cooling Control
Mode
The cooling pad may be
clogged with residue or
debris.
Clean the cooling pad
by rinsing it in water and
allowing it to thoroughly dry.
Refer to CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE section of this
manual.
