TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution
Slow running, noisy or hot
blades.
Dry, corrodedblades. Lubricateblades.
Blades or blade supportbent. Straighten blade or bladesupport.
Bent or damaged teeth. Straightenteeth.
Loose bladebolts. Tighten bladebolts.
Unit will notstart. Battery not installedproperly. Check battery installation.
Battery notcharged. Check battery chargingrequirements.
Lock off not fullyoperated. Check that lock off is fully pulled back prior
to moving
Battery won’t charge Battery not inserted intocharger. Insert battery into charger until green LED
appears. Charge up to 8 hours if battery
totallydrained.
Charger not pluggedin. Plug charger into a working outlet.
Refer to Important Charging Notes for
moredetails.
Check current at receptacle by plugging in
a lamp or otherappliance.
Check to see if receptacle is connected to
a light switch which turns power off when
you turn out the lights.
Surrounding air temperature too
hot or toocold.
Move charger and tool to a surrounding
air temperature of above 40°F (4.5°C) or
below 104°F (+40°C).
