FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1: Can I install the gate opener myself, or do I need professional help?
A1: While installation can be done by a skilled DIYer, it's recommended to involve a professional if
you're not familiar with electrical and mechanical work.
Q2: What is the recommended length of the racks for gate installation?
A2: It's advisable to install the racks approximately 1 foot longer than the gate itself, allowing for
the necessary space for gate opener installation.
Q3: Is it possible to install this gate opener on a slightly declining ground level?
A3: Yes, this gate opener can accommodate a slight decline in the ground level for installation.
However, we recommend avoiding inclines, as the opener's performance may be compromised
on an upslope, potentially causing difficulty in gate operation.
Q4: Can I add an external switch or timer relay for the gate opener?
A4: Yes, you can connect an external switch or timer relay by wiring terminals 2 (GND) and
terminal 5 (cir) on the circuit board (PCBA). The sequence of switch control adheres to the
single-key logic of "open-pause-close" regulations.
Q5: What's the function of the "Single Key Circulation" button on the circuit board?
A5: "Single Key Circulation" button allows you to control the gate with the open-pause-close
sequence. Pressing the switch will open” the gate, pressing it again will "pause" movement, and
a third press will initiate the "close" action.
Q6: What’s the difference between “Single Limit” and “Double Limit” on the circuit board?
A6: Single limit mode ("one" on PCBA) controls the gate with one limit switch, while double limit
mode ("two" on PCBA) uses two limits for opening and closing. Blütezeit gate openers default to
double limit mode. The limit switch module consist of upper and lower parts. Use single limit mode
only if one switch is damaged, ensuring magnets align with the working limit.
Q7: Does the opener support battery hookup?
A7: The gate opener operates on AC power (AC110V) and doesn't support batteries. A UPS
(Uninterruptible Power Supply) offering AC power may be used, ensuring compatibility and
providing AC power during outages. Confirm with the seller that the UPS meets the requirements.
Q8: What to do in case of a power outage?
A8: The package includes two manual release keys to open the clutch of the gate opener.
Disengage the clutch, and manually push the gate open or closed. This option ensures gate
operation even without power.
Q9: Can I use just one remote to control both sides of a dual gate which opens from the
middle and has two installed openers?
A9: Yes, Blütezeit offers a 6-key antenna remote that supports code duplication. You can replicate
the codes from the provided 4-key remotes of the two gate openers onto the 6-key remote. This
setup enables you to control both openers from a single remote, giving you the option to open or
close either side of the dual gate as needed.
